The Tissot watches will become widely available in India because a boutique in New Delhi launches a new design of Tissot watches for divers.

In its effort to spread the word about the superior quality of Tissot watches, the timepiece manufacturer has established a base in India, promoting its latest offering for divers.

The Tissot Sea Touch watch is specially aimed at fans of underwater exploration, providing them with luminosity, shock resistance, band solidity, anti-magnetism and a well-integrated time control device.

Brand ambassador Deepika Padukone, an Indian model turned Bollywood sensation, was on hand to promote the Sea Touch to the crowds who amassed at the launch of the store.

Commenting on the successful watch promotion at the store on Connaught Place, vice-president of sales Ulrich Fischer said: "With the increasing awareness of Tissot in India, which is reflected in the fact that this is our second boutique in this city, I am sure India will welcome this innovation."

Last week, Tissot, which is also one of the sponsors for the Nascar championship in the US, got the award of former Formula One driver Juan Pablo Montoya's team with the Pit Crew Award for spending the shortest spell out in the pit lane.
