Audemars Piguet’s specialists have conducted a cutting-edge research and explored advanced technical paths, having given birth to the Millenary Carbon One Tourbillon Chronograph. The timepiece will be available in a limited number of 120 pieces. The Audemars Piguet Millenary Carbon One Tourbillon Chronograph watch has been inspired by motor sports and their ultra-light speed machines offering high-performance.The timepiece has smartly united three-dimensional design, innovative materials, and the brand’s proprietary movement animating a tourbillon, a chronograph and a 10-day power reserve.

The Millenary Carbon One features an openworked dial, clearly demonstrating the way its parts are positioned on different levels. It reveals a caliber, with a modern design playing on symmetrical effects between the barrels and their bridges found on either side of the chronograph counter. The caliber, produced from innovative materials, is also characterized by redesigned shapes, including the tourbillon bridge.

The tourbillon bridge is dominated by the color of black - the bridges on the dial side are created in blackened steel, while the bridges on the underside are crafted in eloxed aluminium and the mainplate is crafted in carbon.

The carbon used by the Audemars Piguet specialists is a very special type of carbon characterized by chemical, mechanical, and physical stability in all directions. It represents an amorphous and chemically neutral composite material that keeps its dimensions over a wide range of temperatures. It is also characterized by the minimal elastic deformation, featuring superb mechanical properties perfectly suited to driving in metal elements, and the foot screws in the body of the mainplate in particular. These components provide optimal stability.

The exterior of the Audemars Piguet watch is also created using black high-tech materials. The case is sculptured in forged carbon. This ultra-light and resistant material has been exclusively elaborated by the brand.

The bezel, crown and pushers of the case construction are sculptured in ceramics, demonstrating a shiny black appearance that contrasts nicely with matt surface of the forged carbon.
