The illustrious watch company Audemars Piguet Replicas highly appreciated the results of the 3rd edition of the Salon International Haute Relojeria Mexico 2009, conducted in Mexico City within the period from September 29th to October 1st. According to the representatives of the renowned brand, the event was perfectly arranged in regards to the presence of media and end customers.Audemars Piguet took part in the exhibition alongside with 29 other watchmaking houses. The brand displayed 35 watches and 12 pieces of jewelry, embracing Jules Audemars Chronometer, the Jules Audemars Grande Complication, the Jules Audemars Chronotourbillon skeleton, as well as sets of fashion jewelry.

In the course of the event Mr. Philippe Merk, CEO of Audemars Piguet, Francois Henry Bennahmias, Wolfgang Sickenberg and Olivier Quillet were proud to unveil a limited series Royal Oak Offshore Pride of Mexico, providing a true delight to the brand’s enthusiasts and the horological press.

The Audemars Piguet brand participated in this project to support three famous Mexican photographers: Allan Fis, Edgar Ladron de Guevara and Enrique Covarrubias. Each of the talented artists was supposed to create a set of pictures, presenting the image of the Pride of Mexico watch in their own, peculiar way. It is the American Vogue’s November issue with a 6-page article that will present the project.

The Royal Oak Offshore Pride of Mexico has been launched as limited series to celebrate the Bicentennial of the Independence of Mexico. Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 14.7 mm in height, the watch case reveals the Angel of Independence, which is an icon of the Mexican people.

The front side of the Audemars Piguet watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal, which protects the "Mega Tappisserie" dial. The latter features olive numerals and a red seconds pointer, the colors of which represent those of the Mexican flag. It also demonstrates luminescent hour and minute hands.

The functionality of the Royal Oak Offshore Pride of Mexico watch also includes a chronograph with a central seconds hand, 30-minute and 12-hour sub-dials, a tachometer and the date.

Animating these functions is the self-winding caliber 2326/2840 movement. It incorporates a balance wheel that beats at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The movement offers a 38-hour power-reserve. The water-resistance of the model is down to 100 meters.
