Glashutte Original unveiled its Sport Evolution Impact line in 2008. The line was initiated by two sophisticated models the Sport Evolution Impact Chronograph and the Sport Evolution Impact Tourbillon, developed in a limited edition of 100 pieces. The creators of the watches wanted to provide the movement with optimal protection. The timepieces were also aimed to become the most reliable timekeeping companions for those who actively go in for sports.

The Sport Evolution Impact watches incorporate a special shock-absorption system to guarantee supreme reliability and rate precision, even when the timepieces are used under the most demanding conditions. The system is based on four shock-absorbing elements made of elastomer. These elements absorb 60 percent of the force of an impact or other outside influences.

In 2009, the line welcomes one more highly functional and sporty timepiece - the Sport Evolution Impact Panorama Date.

The case of the new robust Glashutte Original watch is sculptured in stainless steel and measures 46 mm in diameter. The case is provided with a matt black rubber coating that adds a harmonious touch to the overall design of the timepiece .

The zest of the watch is a big-sized panorama date window at 6 o’clock. Glashutte Original has patented this function. It is presented with help of a small disk with the numbers 0 to 3 positioned in the center of another disk printed with the numbers 0 to 9.

A great advantage of the disks’ arrangement described is that both disk surfaces are positioned on one level, so there is no “step” in the date display and the date window needs no mullion.

The black dial is completed with polished silver hour markers. The markers are provided with SuperLumiNova inlays for perfect legibility. The hours and minutes are indicated by central sweep hands, also coated with luminous substance.

The Glashutte Original Sport Evolution Impact Panorama Date watch is animated by the automatic manufacture Caliber 39-47 that can be admired through a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal case back. The movement gives an advantage of a 40-hour power reserve this functional timekeeper provides reliable service regardless of the wearer’s sporting pleasure.

The powerful appeal of the timepiece, is further enhanced by a stylish rubber strap, or a woven Trieste strap.
