Longines Expeditions Polaires Francaises Missions Watches
Longines Expeditions Polaires Francaises Missions Paul-Emile Victor Watch. The house of Longines has brilliantly reissued a timepiece, which used to escort the members of the French polar expeditions through Greenland and the Adelie Coast 60 years ago. The French team was led by scientist Paul-Emile Victor, whose name became a part of the watch title.
The new Longines Expeditions Polaires Francaises - Missions Paul-Emile Victor watch is very similar to the original. It offers, however, certain technical upgrades over its predecessor. A reliable ETA 2892-2 automatic movement as well as an AR coated sapphire crystal lend the timepiece a distinctly contemporary feel.
The new Longines watch employs a 38.5mm stainless steel case. It is complimented by a silver dial, featuring hour-markers and Arabic numerals. Traveling over them are hands inlaid with Superluminova, which ensures that the time can be easily read even in poor light conditions. The date indication is offered in an exhibition window at 3 o’clock.
The case-back of the Longines watch proudly exposes the Longines Expeditions Polaires Francaises - Missions Paul-Emile Victor watch engraving, which brings to mind two geometrically opposed destinations of the legendary expeditions - the Arctic and Greenland, and the Antarctic and the Adelie Coast.
The Longines watch is delivered on a genuine brown alligator leather strap. It can be also accessorized with a black leather strap.
