It is hardly a revelation that Sylvester Stallone is a true fan of Panerai watches. In his latest movie – The Expendables, a blockbuster featuring an all-star tough-guy cast, including Mickey Rourke, Bruce Wills, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolf Lundgren, Steve “Stone Cold” Austin, and Randy Couture, Stallone wears the Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante (PAM332). Only 500 pieces of this chronometer-certified special limited edition have been produced available worldwide.

The watch boasts a DLC-treated Luminor case measuring 44mm in diameter. Other parts like the buttons, crown and trademark lever bridge have been also finished with DLC treatment. Protected by a 2-mm thick anti-reflective sapphire glass, the dial reveals against the black clou de Paris background, highlighting hands, indexes and hour markers treated with radioluminous material. Imprinted into the raised edge of the dial is the tachymeter scale, along with the five minute countdown on the minute counter square.

The heart of the watch is the exclusive automatic OP XVIII calibre movement, 13 ? lines in diameter, with double column wheel – distinctive elements of high-quality rattrapante chronographs. With its polished decorated surfaces and levers, the Regatta movement bears official C.O.S.C. certification. The new Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante presents its final touch with a leather strap with burnished buckle showing the Panerai logo.

Coincidentally, in a launch event of Jacob & Co., a high-end American watch and Jewelry company, Sylvester Stallone models a Jacob & Co. Skull Five Time Zone watch. The watch features both white and black diamonds to demonstrate the famous five time zone design. The case measures 47mm wide in either black or polished steel, and the skull can be had in white diamonds with a black diamond background or vice versa. The diamonds weighs almost 10 carats. The price for this edition starts at $25,000.
