Hello every body, I come here again, Today I write this article shar with my friends. 2009 represents a big year for TAG Heuer. It is the 40th anniversary of the iconic Monaco watch, made famous by Steve McQueen in th film Le Mans. As part of the celebrations, the Monaco has been re-designed with the case slightly larger, a new in-house Caliber 12 TAG Heuer movement and for the first time ever sapphire crystal glass which has always been problematic due to the square case shape.

A number of limited editions are planned for later in the year including a new ‘Gulf’ version, which will be limited to 5,000 worldwide and also a new Steve McQueen limited edition with a left handed crown. This is limited to 1969 worldwide of which only 50 will reach the UK and will retail for ￡6,250. Both are planned to be released in the summer and will be a great addition to any worthy collection.

In the lead up to the summer TAG Heuer are running a competition to win a new Monaco where visitors can guess the winner of The Duel. The Duel is a film that has been re-made of Steve Mc Queen where he races against the new hotshot in the form of Lewis Hamilton. It is great to see and the episodes are being released between now and the summer.

Also rumoured for relase at the end of the year is the much anticpated Monaco V4 belt driven watch. Initially released at the 2005 Basle Watch Fair, the watch has been 5 years in development and will be launched in platinum with price tag of ￡60,000. Only 150 will be made and will be by application only via TAG Heuer retailers.
