Tissot, is one of the first Swiss watch brands to launch the 3D augmented reality technology,and dont worry I am just about to explain exactly what that means!Today it is the first Swiss watch brand to offer this application on its website. In some markets, the brand is also launching a unique augmented reality advertising campaign, featuring a watch as a tip-on (I have no bloody idea how this is going to work).

Consumers will be able to try on a 3D virtual watch and interact with the innovative features of the brand’s pioneering Touch collection.

Enhancing the importance of innovation for Tissot, this new technology perfectly matches the Touch collection spirit. Essentially you were a special cut out around your wrist and your computer will overlay the Tissot watch that you have select onto the video, its pretty amazing and really represents the future of e-commerce.

The application is available on the Tissot website reality and it allows users, when they hold their wrist in front of a webcam, to try on watches and change models, colours and styles on their computer (See the video below). At the same time, special advertising visuals have been developed featuring a watch as a tip-on allowing the readers to ‘try on’ the watches at home using their own webcam enabled computer. By logging onto Tissot website they can see themselves wearing the watches in realtime 3D.
