Tag Heuer Grand Carrera watches are an extension of the hugely popular and successful Tag Heuer Carrera line. The Grand Carrera watches are a comparatively recent development - around the year 2007. They were introduced with a number of improvements in the Carrera collection (You can marvel at how even a seemingly perfect watch – a Tag Heuer Carrera – can be still improved – but then you got to see the Grand Carrera to believe!).

Tag Heuer Grand Carrera is the premium version (both in terms of features and prices) of the Carrera collection. As a premium range, the Grand Carrera watches have some significant improvements over the Carrera line. For example, the very prominent Tag Heuer logo that is attached to the dial at the 12’0 clock position. The applied hour markers are much clearly visible. The overall finishing of the watch is much better, especially in the metal parts. The bracelet design is also improved – you will certainly notice it in the stainless steel bracelets – and they are much more comfortable and better fitting.

Another improvement, though not immediately visible, is in the watch movements. The Grand Carrera watches feature a Rotating Disc system ( RS, hence the words RS in the names of the watches)– specially developed by Tag Heuer and a huge improvement over the ETA movement used in similar watches.

Tag Heuer Grand Carrera watches have been designed by the renowned designer Christoph Behling – who has incidentally designed many other Tag Heuer Carrera models.
